Bryan Austin, Owner
Bryan is a native of Brookline, where he grew up watching his mother salvaging old houses in the neighborhood. From her, he inherited his love for antiques and rummaging about at flea markets. He received a B.A. in English from University of Vermont and an M.B.A. from Babson College.

Today, in addition to seeing to the upkeep of the inn, Bryan runs a fully-operational, 125-acre farm in Dover, MA. He enjoys playing golf and is on hockey and softball teams. He and his wife had their first child, a son, in February of 1998.

 

Laura Vardon, Assistant Manager
Laura comes from a small town in Connecticut and received her A.A. from Hartford College for Women in 1991. In 1993 she graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from Boston University, where she garnered honors as a Trustee Scholar and member of the Dean's List. Upon graduation, Laura worked in retail as a manager in clothing and record stores.

Laura joined The Bertram Inn in 1996, where she helps manage the day-to-day operations of the Inn and develops all our guest service materials. She has a passion for literature and loves to watch old movies and British sitcoms.

 

Keith Stromstedt

Keith grew up in Massapequa, NY before coming to Boston University for his collegiate studies. A junior in the School of Hospitality at Boston University, Keith plans to graduate with a Bachelor degree in Hospitality Administration. Keith enjoys spending time with friends and family. He also takes pleasure in playing hockey, basketball and baseball.
