Pet Policy
The Bertram Inn is well-situated for guests with pets. Together they can walk the quiet
streets of historic suburban Brookline, take a stroll along the beautiful Charles River,
or meander through the famous Boston Public Garden.
In the fall of 1996 we hosted a guest who stayed for six weeks with her dog and, upon departure,
she wrote that:
The Bertram Inn is 100% pet friendly. The location is perfect - with pet stores, groomers and
vets minutes away. The staff even walked our dog Albuquerque!
The Inn welcomes pets of any kind with the following restrictions:
- There is no size restriction, but certain rooms will
not accommodate a large pet. Please heed our advice as to which room
would be most suitable for your pet.
- Two pets per room.
- Pets may not be left unattended and uncrated in the room. Any unattended
pet must be crated. We have two crates available for guest use.
Guests with pets should also be advised that:
- No housekeeping service is provided if pets are left
unattended and uncrated in the room.
- Any damage to the room or extra cleaning required (eg
dry cleaning or carpet cleaning) will be charged to the guest.
- Pets are not allowed in the breakfast room and are allowed on the
sun porch after breakfast only. They are welcome on the deck at all
times.
- We reserve the right to request that guests with disruptive pets
find other accommodations. We consider disruptive any pet that is
audible from another guest room.
